The Briefing Room and Officers Club
Currently we have taken some liberties and attached the Briefing Room to the Officer's Club at the end of a hall. This has been done to keep the idea of our virtual lobby together in one place without the need to traverse between areas and juggle scene loads when doing so. However, this may change during development.
Our main goal is to create an immersive space where crews can actively plan out their roles and communicate amongst each other prior to deployment.
Terrain
Our environmental artists have been busy working on improvements to the airfield and the surrounding terrain. The video above shows the kind of detail we are currently achieving, and we can’t wait to show you some of your planned targets in future development updates.
You will note roads, bodies of water and other features that will act as frames of reference for your navigator as your crew heads toward the target and back to the airfield.
Full Body IK work is in Progress
We will share this in future dev blogs but one of our goals to keep you and your crew feeling immersed is to ensure we can show the full body and have that act correctly in different situations. We looked at the idea of just doing hands and heads like you see in some VR experiences, but we feel that may break immersion in this case.

The art team has been busy preparing some of the gear for the crew, and we are happy to share some of the work in progress below.
